Okay, I have seen so many interviews of John McCain on television. I just do not think that this man should be on television doing interviews. First of all, he says that phrase my friends every other sentence and often says fundamental which drives me crazy. He seems annoyed when he gives a television interview. I mean this is essentially free press and publicity for him so he should be happy but he is not. I mean he comes off kind of arrogant and mean when talking about Barack Obama. It is pretty unsettling that is for sure.
Barack Obama is the exact opposite when he is giving a television interview he is so calm and personable. I saw him the othernight on Jon Stewart and the Rachel Maddow show last night and he was smiling and joking. Jon Stewart asked him if his white half would not allow him to vote for himself and Barack thought that was funny. I have even seen Obama dance on Ellen which still to this days makes me laugh. I just think that the way the presidential candidates conduct themselves on televised interviews says a lot about their personality and how they will deal with issues that arrise during their presidency. Barack Obama seems to be well-spoken and understands issues very well wheeras John McCain acts like he doesn’t want to be at the interview and you are wasting his valuable time. What do you think, is the way you conduct yourself on television indicative of the president you will be?

Last night we watched Barack Obama’s prime time advertisement on television. I have to give Barack Obama and his campaign credit, the advertisement/ documentary was very well done. I could not leave the television because I liked it so much. I mean it was very real and allowed you to connect with different Americans and hear their life stories. The story about the African American woman with rheumatoid arthritis really struck a chord with me. It was sad to see her straighten out her fingers. It was heartbreaking that at the age of 72 her husband has to work at Walmart just to try and pay the bills and make ends meet. The advertisement really showed us how people are struggling. I mean we hear about it all the time on the news but the advertisement really put a name and a face to the every day struggles that the average American is facing in today’s economy. I think that it also allowed you to see how real Barack Obama is. He talked about his mother who died of cancer and we saw pictures of his daughters. I mean Barack Obama is like all of us, he wants to take care of his family and achieve the American dream. I really think that the advertisement was a great investment, it was done well and really was powerful and moving.

Tonight is presidential candidate Barack Obama’s prime time ad. I for one am intrigued about what Barack Obama and his campaign workers have to show us. I wish he’d show us a time machine that will transport us to November 5, 2008 but I doubt that, that is the case in this instance. A prime time ad buy is a huge financial investment. I mean he bought a half hour of prime time television time, that has to be expensive to purchase. I am hoping that it is informative and not boring. I really respect Barack Obama, he is a great father, husband, grandson, son and presidential candidate. He really shows us that anyhing is possible if you just put your mind to it and try as hard as you can to be successful. I am looking forward to this prime time advertismenet because it signifies that the end of this long presidential election season is almost over! Yay for all of us! What do you think we will see during tonight’s Barack Obama’s prime time advertisement? Is it must see television?

Lately, I have been watching the news and reading news articles online. Many people are saying that Sarah Palin has given up on the idea of being vice-president and is focusing on her own presidential run in 2012. I do not know who would run as her vice presidential running mate. I would suggest Pat Robertson of MSNBC he is super in love with Sarah Palin and she can do absolutely no wrong in his eyes. I do think thst the polls do not look good for the McCain/Palin camp. John McCain said he picked a maverick like him so he cannot be surprised that she is now doing what she wants and is saying what she wants. John McCain harps about being a maverick but as with the movie Top Gun we learned that someone has to be the maverick and someone has to balance that maverickness by being a calm and clear minded person. I do think that Sarah Palin wants to have a long career in politics, and had John McCain not picked her as his vice presidential candidate she would not be known outside of Alaska. What do you think? Is Sarah Palin out for herself?

Why oh why is November 4th not here yet? It is getting so tough to watch television lately. I mean every second there are new polls, rallies, and negative ads on television. Why can’t it be election day today? It has been forever since we have not heard the phrase presidential election. I wonder what every one will do when the presidential election is over? I remember the final season of the West Wing when Martin Sheen’s president Josiah Bartlett had finished his eight years and he and most of his staff were leaving the White House. Jimmy Smits ’s character Matthew Santos was the new president. I guess that is how George Bush and his staff feel except on the West Wing the staff and the president had done a lot of good for the country but sadly that is not the case here. I guess you feel sad that your eight years are over. I think eight years were too many but I digress. I just want the election to be over and finally have a new president. We keep hearing about change now we need to see if it will really happen.

I was watching the SNL Thursday weekend update marathon last night. I found Will Ferell to be incredibly funny as George W. Bush. He was giving his endorsement to John McCain and Sarah Palin. John McCain had to be dragged in to see Bush by Sarah Palin’s husband Todd. John McCain wanted nothing to do with President Bush’s endorsement. Side note, Bush endorsed McCain months ago in real life, but he hasn’t repudiated him yet. He says he is not Bush. He is not like Bush, but he took Bush’s endorsement. Moving on, Tina Fey has played Sarah Palin for a while. I mean she plays her so well that many people remember Tina Fey’s impression more than they do Srah Palin’s real interviews on network and cable televisiion. Will SNL affect the way that people vote? I mean they have really made Sarah Palin look bad, not that she hasn’t done a lot of damage herself, but SNL has certainly affected her overall image. I think that election humor is so needed and necessary. I have to watch the Daily Show and Jay Leno every night. I love a good laugh because this election has been so incredibly exhausting. I mean it’s been going on for over eighteen months! What do you think? Will SNL affect the way that people vote in the upcoming presiddential election?

We all saw on the news that a college student said she was attacked by a man she claimed was a 6′4 African American man. Allegedly the man branded her with a B for Barack Obama. This woman was a college student working for the McCain campaign. I really cannot believe how low McCain can sink. I read that his communication director personally leaked this story to the television and print media. I mean come on, talk about trying to make people afraid. John McCain should have done something about this. I mean this girl lied to everyone including the police and tried to tarnish Barack Obama’s repuatation. It is appalling to me just how far McCain supporters will go to bash Barack Obama. I also cannot believe how quickly the news media published this story if it had been an African American woman attacked by a white male who branded her with an M then people would immeidately be trying to discredit her in the media. It is truly sad when people are so desperate as to make up such a horrible lie. It really is a slap in the face to sexual assault victims. You know it is hard enough for a real rape victim to admit they were raped, they get ripped to shred in court by lawyers and this woman is why this happens. I really cannt believe what the world has come to and what people will do to win the election for John McCain.

Yesterday, I watched coverage of a Republican stating that Barack Obama shouldn’t have used campaign funds to take a 767 to visit his sick grandmother in Hawaii. He said it was worse than Sarah Palin spending $150,000 on clothes for herself. I was appalled. I mean, come on. Seriously, how could Obama going to visit his grand mother who is sick be in the same league as the Republicans blowing $18,000 a week on clothes? These people just do not stop. Obama taking a commerical airplane would need to be planned days in advance due to security issues. Obama should be able to just go and have family time with his grand mother and not have to deal with being hassled by people at the airport. I really feel bad for Barack Obama, he is constantly being bashed by Republicans who just cannot accept that John McCain is losing this election. John McCain only has himself to blame for his poor choices. I don’t feel that Barack Obama did anything wrong by using his campaign plane to go and see his ailing grandmother. He should put families first and taking care of his own family shows great character and family values.

I recently read that many people feel that John McCain blames Sarah Palin for his problems. Yes, she is a drag on the ticket but any political operative worth their salt would have advised John McCain not to pick her as his vice presidential running mate. John McCain thought he would wrap up the election quite easily by just adding a female running mate to his presidential ticket. He did not quite comprehend that women do not want to vote for a female candidate that is not as qualified to be president as Hillary Clinton is. Sarah Palin has proved time and time again that she just is not qualified to be vice president and John McCain needs to really look at what the job qualifications for a vice president are. You need to be knowledgeable in many important issues such as national security, the economy, health care, energy, and many other issues. Sarah Palin cannot learn everything on the job. Can you imagine being hired for a job that you know nothing about and then say, Oh well I’ll learn all about the job after I get it. So, John McCain needs to truly ask himself did he put country first? No, he didn’t he put a gimmick first which was if I pick a woman then the Hillary Cinton voters will win the election for me. What do you think?

This presidential election hits new lows every single day. The constant bashing, name calling, and insults really irritate me to the brink of insanity. Last week I watched Michelle Bachmann’s tirade on MSNBC. The who let’s do an expose on members of the Congress really scared me. I mean this woman is basically saying that we should question each other’s patriotism. John McCain did not even repudiate this Republicn woman’s comments and she was bashing Barack Obama’s patriotism repeatedly. I mean is this what the world has come to? I mean seriously, if John McCain is going to lose, then he should lose with dignity and honor. He will do anything to win this presidential election. Sarah Palin was basically selected by John McCain to be the person on the front line making the negative comments. She is tarnishing her own political image. John McCain is 72 and won’t be in elected office much longer, whereas Sarah Palin was just elected governor two years ago and is hurting her chances of ever being elected to a higher political office down the road. I mean she still doesn’t understand that the VP only has a tie breaking vote in the Senate, she seems to think she’d be the boss. If she wants to be the boss, then she should return to Alaska and do her job as governor. I feel bad for Alaskans who are paying Palin to campaign basically because she isn’t running Alaska so who is?
I wish that we could time travel to Nov5 and have this election be finished and in the history books.
