McCain/ Palin Crossing the Line Racially
I have been watching footage on the television and Internet of McCain/Palin rallies. There is a lot of fearmongering and racial hatred being spewed at these rallies. A sheriff introducing Palin made racist remarks about Barack Obama’s middle name. This sheriff should be fired because sheriffs should not be making these racist remarks and inciting hatred, they are supposed to be fair when dealing with justice matters.
I am bipartisan but lines have been crossed. These McCain/Palin rallies are slowly being turned into KKK meetings. The audience members have insulted an African American cameraman and have even repeatedly referred to Obama as a terrorist.
For all of you who don’t know this- Barack Obama is KENYAN AND AMERICAN! I bolded it and capped it for emphasis! For those who don’t know, Kenya is a country in Africa! Barack has a Kenyan father and an American mother.
Now, Sarah Palin’s husband Todd didn’t even want to be an American before 2002. He wanted Alaska to secede from the United States. She even spoke at some of the seceding group’s functions. Now,she is married to Todd, which far exceeds meeting him a few times or being an acquaintance. She is married to a man who thought America was imperfect and wanted one of our 50 states to not be in the United States anymore. Now, let me ask you who is more American- Barack Obama, or Sarah Palin the wife of a former secessionist group member? Now, actions speak louder than words, and Sarah Palin and John McCain are inciting racial hatred and fear because they know they lack the poll numbers to win on merit alone. Martin Luther King Jr would be devastated to see the way that McCain and Palin have acted. They are crossing racial lines and allowing racist things to be said at their rallies without speaking up. This election makes me sad because it proves that we have learned nothing. Why should someone’s name or race matter? If you can’t win by your experience or win on issues, then you never truly have won. You beat the man by being the better man and John McCain and Sarah Palin have proven that they are not decent people and they show us every day that Barack Obama is the better man. We need change and diversity, not racial comments and fearmongering. John McCain promised a positive campaign and didn’t deliver, he preaches honesty but doesn’t know what the word means. Why can’t we just have an election about issues? Aren’t we supposed to be one nation under God? Why are we always divided?
