President Elect Obama’s Daughters Will Do Chores

Published by mcnally1 at 11:27 am under Politics, President Barack Obama, news Edit This

President Elect Obama’s daughters will be doing chores in the White House. I am not surprised by this. I think it is important to teach your children responsibility. I mean doing chores never hurt anyone. I cannot imagine how easy life would be in the White House. I mean you would not have to cook or clean, or even drive to do errands. You have such a large staff whose jobs are to meet your every need. I commend President Elect Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, they are really trying to keep their two young daughters grounded and in touch with real life. As a parent, I think you have to have your children help around the house to teach them pride in ownership and responsibility. Parents who do not make their children do chores often have disciplinary problems with their kids because the kids do not have a sense of responsibility. I didn’t even get paid for doing my chores when I was a kid, we were just expected to help out and work together. My parents said the food, room, and board were free so we did not need money for helping to keep out home clean.

I had this argument with someone the other day about how he thought the election and whatnot had gotten to Obama’s head. How? This story just goes to show what Obama’s true character really is.
