Another Obama Administration Member is Named

Published by mcnally1 at 3:07 pm under Politics, President Barack Obama, news Edit This

President Elect Barack Obama has announced another of his selections for his new administration. The President Elect has chosen General Eric Shinseki to be his new Secretary of Veteran Affairs. General Eric Shinseki has a very long resume. He graduated from West Point. He served two combat tours in Vietnam. Sadly, he lost part of his foot during on of his combat tours in Vietnam. He also has received two Purple Hearts and three Bronze stars. He has been in the armed forces for about forty years. This is a long career in the armed forces. I hope that General Shinseki can help the Iraq veterans. They are not receving the best care. We need to take care of our war veterans. Many of the people who have been wounded have not received their proper benefits. Hopefully, the rest of the troops will come home soon. We need the wars to end as soon as possible. Congrats to General Shinseki.

A fitting pick for today, this was another good move by Obama, in my opinion.
