Roland Burris News

Published by mcnally1 at 1:35 pm under Politics, news Edit This

Roland Burris’s Senate appointment was rejected. The Secretary of the Senate, Nancy Erickson rejected his appointment. It is because a signature is missing on his certificate of appointment. I mean come on? How can you not see that a signature is missing on your certificate of appointment?  A man named Jesse White who is the Secretary of the Senate in Illinois was supposed to sign Burris’s appointment but he did not. There is supposed to be two signatures on the certificate of appointment but disgraced governor Rod Blagojevich’s signature was the only one on it. I am a little suspicious of this, it is  like in the old days when people used to send in a check without a signature to get a few extra days to help the check clear. They did that because you cannot cash an unsigned check. Hopefully, Burris can get the signature that he needs. I do not know if the secretary of the Senate in Illinois will sign his appointment though.
