I flipped on the television first thing this morning and what did I happen to see? President George W. Bush giving his last official news conference. It was not really news, it was basically him trying to make people feel sorry for him and back the decisions that he has made during the last eight years. He said popularity a bunch of times. He also mentioned that he does not read polls but that is a lie. If you ever watched the show the West Wing, you would know that the president knows about every poll that is released about his popularity and approval rating. He discussed Hurricane Katrina. He said that he wished the best to President Elect Barack Obama. He mentioned that he had wanted to be a uniter but in the last eight years, the atmosphere was just not right for this to happen. He said he hopes that President Elect Barack Obama can unite the country. He also said Obama has a nice family. I thought the press conference was okay. I’d rather that he spent his last eight days in office fixing the emss that our country is in. What did you think of George W. Bush’s news conference?
